No, it's not.
Please detach me from the rest of this thread. Y'all are welcome to keep talking about it if you want. But I said what I said.
Talarico made a weak statement on TV that put trans kids in Texas at further risk. He made this statement to pander to fascists.
And as I've said on here many, many times, the vast majority of gender-affirming care surgeries performed on children in the United States, are performed on white male high school boys, who took steroids trying to compete with people like me, and then accidentally grew titties. The surgery is to remove their newfound titties, so that they can feel like a boy again.
Talerico has no intention of blocking these gender affirming care surgeries on children that play football. He only wants to block gender affirming care surgery on trans children. Talerico cares about the mental distress of a cis boy that doesn't like his breasts, but doesn't care about the same exact mental distress in trans boys.
I don't want to hear about his weak excuses for saying top surgery on cis boys is allowed, but top surgery on trans boys is not allowed.
Talerico pretends to care that trans girls playing high school sports might have no hormonal advantage that makes them bigger stronger faster than girls. But lots of high school football playing boys take steroids, giving them a bigger hormonal advantage over their peers that don't take steroids. I haven't heard his calls for a nationwide high school football steroid testing program, are even a Texas steroid testing program. Because he doesn't really care about safety and fairness in high school sports.
